Hug a Panda....

Hi Oddball Fans!

I'm guest DT this month for the "Dots and Doodles" theme! Today I am sharing my dotty chubby panda art tags using Images from #226 Chubs the Panda - too cute!!

I love to alter tags and create with mixed media bits and pieces and of course I have an issue with throwing anything away no matter how small - you never know when you might need that miniscule piece of paper or embellishment LOL!

I started with some plain packaging tags - I always buy these in bulk in several sizes from the local Officeworks store - and a roll of paper towel that I use to "mop up" excess ink sprays from my creations - see I can't even waste sprays!!!

Use a glue stick or matt medium to cover the entire tag and adhere the paper towel and once dry trim the overhang and punch the hole back at the top!

Now to add the dots because we have the dots & doodles theme!! I used a very dotty stencil and some texture paste to add these to the tags.

Next I printed the "pandas" onto Kraft coloured paper - sometimes I don't want to colour and I love the effect of printing directly to kraft paper and fussy cutting and using colour on the background as a contrast to the plain image!

I also printed the wording "hug a panda" on kraft paper and tore out to us on the tags. I'm starting to layout how I want everything to sit on the tags in the pic below. I've grabbed some muslin cloth scraps, meshy braid, paper leaves and flowers and some ribbon and string for tying at the tops.

Once I was happy then I glued everything on in order! they have a lovely 3D effect - I like layers and texture and colour!!

Fun and easy to create! Hope you feel inspired to create with Oddball Stamps and some Dots & Doodles and play along this month!

Thanks for having me!

I have used IMG 426 Maddy for my set of ATC's all ready for this months ATC Swap!

Ekkkkkkk how cute are they!!!!
I coloured them with my water paints and popped them onto some black cardstock bases.
I added some "doodling" around the borders using my black and white gel pens.

Happiness is...

Hey Oddballs!  It's EK from ekgorman designs, sneaking in today to share a little CAS card I created using my favorite colored pencils.

Today I am playing around with IMG19 Camper Girl Cassidy from the Big Eyed girl collection.

For today's project I pulled out, like I said my favorite colored pencil set, the Derwent Drawing pencils.  Now I own some five different brand of colored pencils, but despite its limited color range, these are my favorite.  These colors are really soft and in a wide range of natural and sepia tones.  Needless to say, their limited color range is perfect for a clean and simple card.

I additionally added a fun sentiment added in some denim blue ink, to add to the sweet mischief look on Cassidy's face.  The card got adhered onto a Kraft A2 card frame.

Do you play around with different brands of colored pencils?  What is your favorite?  And what Oddball digital stamp is your favorite to color with your pencils?

Hair Gel Card Video Tutorial with Molly the Mermaid & Fishies

Hello Oddballs

It´s me, Tina: Today I have again created a Hair Gel Card. And if you scroll down you will also find a video tutorial this time. I used this images Molly the Mischievous Mermaid #319 and Fishies #410.

Here I chose a bottle for the neckline,
because the mermaid wants to travel by bottle mail into space.
And she also has 3 sweet companions; her goldfishes.

The background is created with Distress Oxide and I
colored the images with Polychromos.

And this is how the card looks inside ...
