May Day

Happy May Day Oddball’s!  I love The month
of May, right off the bat you have May Day (May 1st) then Mother’s Day and my birthday πŸ˜‰ All kidding aside, welcome to May!
My inspiration project is a smash up of several Creepy Cute Chronicles images.  First we have the hearts from CCC 91, then the syringe from CCC 102 and this weeks CCC premium images!
After designing my layout on the computer, I colored all the images with Prisma premium colored pencils.  For the syringe I colored it then I put down a layer of Glossy Accents and added fine red glitter (not sure who made it). The blood drops are enhanced with Tulip Sparkle puff paint and so are the hearts on the various images.  I really love the way everything pops on Kraft paper.  Do you work on different colors of paper or are you a strictly white person....just curious πŸ˜‰!  Love sentiment from Kelly Creates and snark sentiment from Dylusions

I'm here for the BOOs!

For this inspirational make I have used  Ghost with Boo Bunting
This image also has the sentiment 'I'm here for the BOOs' which I love - but haven't used today!

You will see more details on my blog, Calling All Crafters,

explaining today's creation, along with other posts you might like...

Recipe:
  1. Kraft Card base and layering sheet cut from orange textured cardstock. I added brushed corduroy distress ink around the edges.
  2. I then cut out a sort of cloud from an alcohol ink background and added faux stitching around it using a fineliner.
  3. I printed the image, added colour with Copics and cut it out.

The question is should I add the sentiment?

Little Boys Are Just SUPERHEROES in Disguise!

Hello

Today Thursday I bring you a card dedicated to those children who are going through the confinement without hardly protesting and that for me are some heroes in disguise!

I made this card with the img# 163 Digi Stamp Set Big EyeBoy & and his pet Bats Billy Bat's stamp and, although my intention was to use the sentiment of the freebie #95 Superheroes, in the end I wrote it by hand inspired by it, so that not stand out as much on the background

First, I colored Billy with my Finecolors and cut it out.

To make the background, I drew a couple of playground elements freehand and also colored them with my alcohol markers.

Then I made a mask with some post-it notes and covered them

Once masked, I used inks and a homemade stencil to make the soil green and the rays of the sun.
While all this was drying well, on the other hand I inked a patch of white cardboard with a couple of shades of green and I punched it out in the shape of a lawn.

I also punched the fence on gray cardboard.

Finally, I started to assemble the card and glue the elements.

As the feeling did not convince me how it was, I decided to hand it over and write it directly on the background.

To finish, I made a "closed" sign to hang on the park gate.

And that's it. It seems more difficult than it really is.

I hope you like it, inspire you and encourage you to do your own projects with Oddball stamps that you can buy with the discount code DTIRENE10.

Remember that you can use the hashtag #creepycutechronicles to share your creations and that we can see them.

See you

Hello There!
Monica  here Today to share a quick project with you. I am here with this card I created using this image that I’ve been wanting to use for a while,  Fran-Tick & Dave the Bat image#104.
B10DB85A-A000-441E-959C-9AAA2D59C58F
I colored her using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and added some details with color pencil- Prismacolor. For the background I used distress oxide inks on watercolor paper and created a somewhat galaxy. I also used this adorable spider that was part of a previous Creepy Cute Chronicles image.

Gnome Love!

Hello everyone!

I'm back with another Oddball Art project. This time, I wanted to use a series of stamps that I never got the chance to use when they were first released. The result, is a fun and whimsical scene, perfect to celebrate spring.

After I download my images and extract the files, I use a program like Inkscape (free for customers) to arrange all the images and create the scene I want.

For this project I'm using:

And

Once I get the desired look, I save it on my computer and print. I use Neenah Crescent Crest 70lb white cardstock,  and will color the images using ArtNFly sketch markers.

The finished result is a vibrant and fun card cover! It is a rather larger card measuring 5x9, but I'm very happy with the results. You can see all the details,  and even has room to add some fun, dimensional clouds.

What images would you mix and match?! There's so many different Creepy cute images to choose from! Make sure to visit the website today and see the over 500 sets that are available for purchase!

Once there, use coupon code Eny1 to get 1 FREE stamp set with the purchase of two!

Happy crafting!

Say cheese...

For this inspirational make I have used  IMG 524

You will see more details on my blog, Calling All Crafters,

explaining today's creation, along with other posts you might like...

My interactive card today involves a mechanical iris...

Recipe:
  1. Card base and layering sheet cut with Cricut. The layer of Websters Pages paper also had a circular hole cut in it to show the iris.
  2. After much research I cut the pieces for the mechanical iris with my Cricut. I used dimensional tape to add this to the base and also to add the paper layer.
  3. I used the camera from IMG#524 and drew it on the Cricut twice with pens - one image was placed on the card base, the second, with the centre cut out, on the top.
  4. I printed the total image and added colour with Copics and cut it in pieces to surround the camera.

Hello! Today my project is a bookmark using the Sweetest Big Eye Fairy Girl Purdy Butterfly image No. 164. I thought this image was perfect for spring and a bookmark.

I coloured the image with alcohol markers. I used a stamp for the background from Phil Martin titled "Grungetangled" and a bookmark die from Your Next Stamps.

Crystals and gems πŸ’Ž

Happy Friday!

This week’s CCC newsletter is all about crystals and gems.

I don’t color crystals or gems very often but doing something new is always fun!

If you haven't done so already make sure you check your inbox for the most recent issue of Creepy Cute Chronicles Issue 101 or if you still need to subscribe you can go HERE where you will find a link to the most recent issue, this weeks free downloads (pictured above and below) and get your email address on the list so you never miss another issue!

This is how I did it!

First I colored the crystals with gel pens.

Start at the base with a dark color then use a damp paint brush to blend towards the point.

Add lighter colors as you move to the point.

For a good video tutorial see Vitruvian art on Youtube.

Cut out the colored crystal formation and trace it onto black card stock.

I used Brea Reese metallic crayon to create a glow, but I hated the lines so I turned it into a huge glow.

It isn’t what I wanted but it works!

I added a few opalescent sticker embellishments around the crystals.

Finally using the sentiment included in this set I distressed around the edges of the paper and attached just below the crystals to finish it all off.

This is the card I made using this weeks premium image by guest illustrator Eny Dunn (Doodledaisiesandink)
