It’s fall y’all...pumpkin spice season

 

 Hey there!  Have you seen the November premium stamp from Oddball art co.....isn’t she gorgeous?  

So I know there is always a huge deal surrounding pumpkin spice.....there are people who love everything pumpkin and those who can stand it.  Which one are you?  I am somewhere in the middle but I do love some pumpkin pie 🥧.  Any way none of that matters if you are creating with digital images, you can image it’s something else!

This is the second of two posts using the monthly exclusive. 

This make is a pocket letter using the two coffee cups in the set...

If you follow my blog you will have seen

 I have been making the 9 ATCs it is made of, all week!

Step One:

Firstly I made some backgrounds using my Gelli plate and alcohol inks. In particular I tried to give the impression of coffee rings using bottle tops and small glasses.

Step Two:

I trimmed pieces from the backgrounds and placed them on kraft bases.

In the first picture the tops were used to remove the alcohol ink.

In the second picture, ink was dripped around the circular shapes to make the shapes.

Step Three:

I added a coffee cup, printed, coloured with markers and cut out. I added a variety of sentiments  from different stamps and digis.

This first 5 ATCs include the wider, shorter cup.

The next 4 include the taller, narrower cup.

Step Four:

I arranged the ATCs in a grid and then placed them in a folder.

Today's make uses an image and a sentiment from the monthly exclusive

This is the first of two posts using the monthly exclusive. Today's make is a card...

Step One:

I made a background using a stencil (Tim Holtz), texture paste and reinkers and added this as a section of the white card card blank.

Step Two:

I coloured the image with markers and cut her out

Step Three:

I added two strips of washi to the card blank and then the image. Finally I added the sentiment with Distress Ink around the edges (Gathered Twigs).

🍃🍃🍃☕Fall Vibes Card...CCC130☕🍃🍃🍃

 

Good morning Spooky Girls in this new episode of Oddball's Creepy CuteCronicles I present to you a new set of digital stamps created by Lizzy for the members of the band, "FallVibes. Do I have to explain the meaning? Autumn Autumn Autumn ... and this for me brings back the wonderful colors of the trees and the sky in this period. The mid-seasons will no longer exist, but luckily the colors remain!

Let's start seeing how I made this card right away. First of all being digital files, I composed them with Photoshop in the image I had in mind, I then printed on Fabriano's smooth watercolor paper and I moved on to coloring the sky / background with Distress Oxide Sprays, but not by spraying them, but rather spreading them with a brush.

Once dry, I gave light strokes, first with a Yellow Gold metallic watercolor by Gansai Tambi and then, again in gold, but with the Foil by Heidi Swapp on details in Tombow-Mono Liquid Glue, spread and left to dry, once ready I just pressed the Foil on top and it stuck to the glue.

At this point, let's move on to coloring our beautiful protagonist and the Leaves, also beautiful protagonists. To do this I used a combo of Mission Gold Water Color-Gold Class watercolors, Lyra polycolor pencils-Rembrant and my inevitable black and white gell pens.

After coloring I cut out the edges of the card and aged the frame with the distress ink of my heart. I attached the card on a Bazzill "Crimson" base and voilà that's it.

Now all that remains is to prepare a good Pumpkin Spice Latte and relax.

Fall Vibes

Hello! 

Today I have to act as DT of Oddball Art Stamps and I do it with the stamp corresponding to this month exclusively for subscribers, “Fall Vibes”. 

The card is very simple to make, although it has a different characteristic than usual. 

And, as you can see, the ground covered with leaves, (all of them included in the digi zip), is made with the superimposition of images in a photo editor and then printed in a single layer. 

The difference with the overlay that I made to frame the sentiment is the extra volume involved in gluing card to card, leaf to leaf. 

The background is barely visible. It was about representing the wind that is blowing the leaves, so it should not be very marked. I did it by giving a few touches of Distress Ink Weathered Wood. 

All images are colored with Finecolour alcohol markers. 

Both the floor and the sentiment mount are glued to the panel with double-sided foam tape to give the card volume and depth. 

As you can see, it is very simple.

Hello everyone My TINI Kittens today I show you another card made with Lizzy Love stamps for OddballArtStamp. Does it look like Halloween themed? Noooo far from it!

In this card, besides my beloved masking technique, I also used a stencil and a mask and created two masks myself for coloring the background.

These are the two masks made with paper that I made to become adhesive to create the sky and the earth.

The images on this card are taken from the CCC # 71 SCARE CROW Stamp Set.

I colored the characters with Copic Markers and finished them with a black and white gel pen. For the background I used the Distress Oxide shaded thanks to the stencil and the masks I mentioned earlier ant the pastels.

Sweet as Maple Syrup Monster Inspiration! CCC 129 This week's release!

Hi there Oddballs!   

This here is the sweet little dragon and leaves from CCC 129,  today's image release!

I typically don't create cards, but this turned out so cute, I just couldn't resist!  Thinking this might be a great Thanksgiving card,  Front could say... "Hope your Thanksgiving is..."   Open card,   "Sweet as Maple Syrup".

The pumpkins are from CCC 127 release a couple weeks back.   These are the perfect pumpkins to color,  nice a plump.   

Supplies Used:

• Dylusions Acrylic Paints.   I use them sort of like water colors to color these images.  I use a very tiny brush,  wet it, then take a tiny bit of paint and swoosh it around.   This creates a nice neat dark edge on one side, and a blendable edge on the other.
• Glossy Accents.   I used these on the half closed eye, the paw pads and Maple Syrup Bottle.
• I used paper from a 12" x 12" Paper Pad by We R Memory Keepers.  I couldn't find a title, but it has a Rooster on the front.
• I used Foam squares to prop up most of the images for dimensional interest.
• The larger eye is a Googly eye,  medium-small size.

Maple Monster

Step One:

I made my background - I was using Crackling Campfire through a Tim Holtz leaf stencil to make this journal page the other day

Not sure if you can see the leaves...

Anyway the stencil was covered in ink so I spritzed it and slapped it down on a piece of water colour paper ending up with the negative leaf background.

I trimmed this to make a strip measuring about two thirds the width of a teal card base.

Step Two:

I printed the images, coloured them with Copics and cut them out out.

I then placed them over the background.

Step Three:

I added glossy accents to the eyes.
