May Oddball Challenge Winner

Welcome back to Oddball Land! 

Our May Oddball Challenge has come to a close and...

we have some winners to announce tonight!

I have good news and I have bad news....lets start with the good news!

Good news....we hit 19 entries for May which means we unlocked those TOP 3 prizes and have 4 winners to announce tonight!

Bad news.....  I made an offer with the May Challenge that if we hit 50 entries I would do another craft supply grand prize for June, so obviously we weren't able to make that happen. 

I would love to hear feedback from anyone who might have some suggestions to bring in those participants, leave your ideas in the comments below and I will read everyone!

And one last thing before we announce those winners....I am still waiting to hear from our April Grand Prize winner of the Copic marker sets.... today is the deadline, I have decided to make this last public call out to get her attention, if I have not heard from her by the time the June Challenge is posted tomorrow, I will announce the new winner for April grand prize tomorrow with the new challenge!

Hi!! I created a card using Creepy Cute Girl & Flowers Tiffs Garden image 89. I used Arteza watercolor pencils to color the image. Watercolor pencils are  great to use for watercoloring. They are easy to use and the results are fantastic!!!

Creepy Cute Chronicles #54

It is Friday, so that means it is time for a new Creepy Cute Chronicles newsletter over at Oddball Art!  Today, I am playing with this week's CCC digital stamp, but blowing it up have and mounting it onto a 8x10 inch wood canvas.

To give you perspective of how large I blew up the Red's Pet Wolf digi, I put a full size Distress ink case there.

Then using my copics, I colored both Red...

...And her pet wolf.  I am not crazy about the coloring on the wolf, but by the end of the canvas the coloring work.

I fussy cut out both of the image and set them aside while I build the background of the canvas.

I scraped on some black metallic acrylic paint onto my wooden canvas.

I die cut three panels of trees, and sprayed them with both a matte and a glittery spray ink.  I repeated the process with panels of grass cut out and gray, glittery black and green glitter spray ink.

Using soft matte gel, I adhered the trees onto the canvas, letting there be texture with the gel.  I also added the grass to the canvas with the same gel.

I then added the digital stamps onto the canvas.  I could have quit here and been happy with the end result, but I wanted to build the canvas up more.

So to build up the canvas, I pulled out metal crafting pieces, wire, paper flowers, art stones and more black acrylic paint an built up the bottom of the canvas with fun layers.

I really like how the texture built up the final look of the canvas.

Finally, I added a fun sentiment to the final product.

Star Shaped Easel Card Girl Sully "Good Times" Gdt Maria

Hi, for this project I used Girl Sully "Good Times" colored with copics. 

The structure of the card and the stunning Star Shaped Easel Card

 The paper I used and the First Edition paper pad beyond the shore. 

To give a little more sparkle I applied sparkling water to the outline of the structure.
