Summer nights

This cheeky little fairy is using her wand to roast marshmallows..
....be careful that the smoke spites don’t t get in your hair!
Hi everyone! Happy Friday and all that!  This week at Oddballartstamps issue 116 our theme is long summer nights.  One of my favorite things to do is hang out around a fire, roast marshmallows and visit with friends.  What is your favorite part of summer?
This card is cram packed with images so let’s get started.  The premium images for this week include the fire, marshmallows and cute little smoke fellas.  The background (look closely) is Dots and doodles digital paper that I reduced the opacity on (made them lighter). Then I blended Tim Holtz distress ink (seedless preserves, salty ocean and peacock feathers) to create a night sky.  The moon fairy, Creepy Clair #64 and Delhia #70 were colored with Prisma colored pencils and Blackwidow skin tone pencils.  Last but not least the fairy jar is from this month’s premium digital images.
Do you think about your light source when you color?
I don’t always, but it can produce a dramatic effect at times.
In this situation you know the light came from the fire  ( arrows show direct of the light source )
So the side closest to the flame will be lighter.  I also added yellow as an undertone for her
skin to give the feeling of a warm glow.

The Story Teller

Hello it's Friday and  I"m sharing a fun card on the Oddball blog today.  Long summer nights is the theme and I thought the storyteller was perfect for this theme and these images.  Who doesn't love toasting marshmallows under a starry sky and telling spooky stories until someone says "what was that?" and everyone screams! To create this fun campfire scene I began by creating a galaxy background using watercolor.  These awesome  images are CCC #116 long summer nights and the little ghost is  from CCC # 66 Lydia I colored all the images using my markers!  Long Summer Nights is a free Creepy Cute Chronicles  download or for $15.00 a year you have unlimited access to a library full of images!

Hope everyone has an amazing weekend thanks for stopping by! Details are also up on my blog wizardessofcards.com

Inspired- CCC # 78 Gwendoline

http://oddballstamps.blogspot.com/

I' m here on The Oddball Stamps blog today, sharing a Slimline card I made using CCC# 78 Gwendoline and the Unicorn Spiders image! This image is available in the shop! I want to start by saying that I was totally inspired by my crafty friend @ritzyhag, to explore the art of  heat embossing on digital stamps. I heat embossed Gwens fur around her jacket using an emboss it pen and chunky white embossing powder. I loved the way it turned out! I also colored this image on craft card stock using my markers and pencils, I was happy the way this turned out as well. This became a card of uniqueness!

Hope you enjoyed my unique inspiration, Hope you get a chance to check out this weeks Creepy Cute Chronicles Newsletter there's always a free image for you to download! Oddball also has an amazing subscription 1 year $15.00 that's it and you get access to a library full of images to download whenever you like! There's also a pretty cool challenge going on right now with prizes! Thanks so much for dropping by I would love it if you would stop by and see me at wizardessofcards.com

Anyway today I have added another page to my journal - these are the steps I went through...

Step One

My journal has black pages - so first I added a 8.75 in square of orange. I had printed the image on both yellow and white - I added the yellow version with the white sentiment matted on orange as the next layers. I used a gold marker to add some more colour to the 'Summer cloud'.

Step Two

I added the yellow sentiment, extra words and GOOD VIBES plus a little red Copic.

Step Three

I added a touch more red Copic and gold Zig pen and started adding a few more elements from the white version, coloured with Copics and cut out.

Step Four.

Just one more element to go...

Step Five.
Almost done...

Step Six.
Add finishing touches - some metal notes and flip-flop stickers.

If you follow my blog you will now that my printer was almost out of ink and that I had run out of white card - so I made this journal page before my consignment arrived!
I printed the bat eating the water melon on grey, green cream and red card so that I could paper-piece the image. I printed the sentiment on cream and cut that out.
I cut Tropical leaves and more watermelon with my Cricut.

I added Glossy Highlights to the bat's eyes and black pearls to the water melons.

Anyway today I have made a very quick Easel ATC in landscape:

Step One
Cut a piece of card 5 inches by 3.5 inches and score at 2.5 and 3.75 inches. Fold these two as valley folds to make a triangular easel.

Step Two
Cut a piece of card 2.5 by 5.5 for main ATC. Attach to front of triangle.

Step Three
Trim the sentiment and cut a backing piece to add on dimensional tape to make the easel stand.

Step Four.
Complete the ATC

Step Five.
Add finishing touches.

Alice in Wonderland (Mini Album - pg 2)

Hi!

Today I bring you the second page of the mini album Creepy Alicia for the DT of Oddball Art Stamps.

On this page I have used a lot of stamps that you have available in the Oddball store, although some of them can only be purchased if you are subscribers.

I leave you the list of all the stamps present:

Owl: CCC #44 Winky
Halloween Mushroom: CCC #70 Halloween Shrooms (By Eny Dunn)
Luna: CCC #79 To the Mummy and Back

With the digis colored and cut out, I assembled the page and hung the feeling of an acetate band-aid.
I really like how the mini album is looking. I hope you do too and that it inspires you to make your own versions.

Remember that you have the discount code DTIRENE10 for your purchases and the hashtag #creepycutechronicles to share your projects.

See you!

Bonehead!

For this inspirational make I have used  Creepy Cute Doodle Page Bonehead #510
and Bottlecap Images Big Juicy Tears printed on a paper from Stay Creepy

I was inspired by this theme of this picture:

You will see more details on my blog, Calling All Crafters!,

with more details of today's creation, along with other posts you might like...

Once again I have added another page to my scrap book - you may have seen the left hand side via the newsletter, but today I have added the right hand side.
This is a very simple page - just the images printed and cut out (or punched) and arranged on a skull photo.  I added black layers under the Bonehead Doodles.

A little quiz for you - what is the extra bit in the final photo?
