OddBall Ambassador Feature

Hello everyone!

Eny here to show some love and appreciation to one OB Ambassador who has been sharing some spooky, cheerful, festive cards this month.

I am in love with Celia's designs and coloring,  specially this adorable Snowman card.

I love everything about this card. The shadows on the snowman, the complementary die cuts, all brings it together to make a adorable handmade card.

Go and show Celia some lover over on her Instagram.  She always shares fabulous projects and links to her blog!

Happy crafting and I hope you have an amazing New Year!

Zombie Gift

Hello!

Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope you had a great Christmas Eve and that Santa brought you a lot of presents!

Today is Friday and once again I bring you a tutorial for the oddball DT. This week, the star of the CCC85 Zombie Gift is this terrifying little box that I have accompanied with the images #392 Digi StampBig Eye Whimsical Christmas Wendy Winter and one of the latest releases of Lizzy Love, image #543 Digital Stamp Cute Big Eye Christmas Deer Girl WithLights.

It is a very simple and quick card to make to continue with the series of quick ideas for last minute cards.

After coloring with my alcohol markers and cutting the images, I made a very simple background with a spray ink and white splashes. To give it a festive touch, I drew an imperfect frame with a Golden gel pen. I pasted the scene in its place and added a yellow card base for more light to the card.

The feeling is what accompanies the Premium version of the freebie.

I hope you like it and give you ideas for your last minute cards.
Share your creations with the hashtag #creepycutechronicles. Remember that you have the discount code DTIRENE10 for your purchases in the Oddballstore and that in the blog you will find much more inspiration.

I wish you a wonderful end of the year and that the new one comes full of dreams come true!

See you next year!

Happy 2020!

Magic Slider Card Tutorial

As part of the 12 Days of Creepmas here is my Magic Slider Card tutorial as promised.   Unfortunately like everything in my life I am late but at least I showed up 😏 that's the way I see it anyhow lol

I hope you find my video easy to understand, I tried to simplify the process as best I could.

To have the best success with this process, especially if you have not created a card like this before you should start by downloading this diagram below, printing it out to have beside you thru the entire video and cardmaking process.

All of the pieces have been labelled to make the video easier to understand.

  • The Card Pocket are the #1 pieces
  • The Magic Slider are the #2 pieces
  • The Card Base are the #3 pieces

NOTE: The piece labelled 3B may not be necessary if you are using white cardstock for 3A.  Since my 3A was purple I added the white cardstock piece 3B to be able to write on easier.

.
You can also download and print the supplies list if that is helpful for you.

If You Knew My Family

Hey Oddballs.  It's EK and I've been making of course a ton of holiday cards lately, and am feeling a little burnt out. Don't get me wrong, I love holiday cards, but most of them are so serious.

So I thought I would take a little break and create a bit of fun to my holiday card line up. Did you know that Oddball Art has a whole collection of holiday themed digital stamps?  Today I pulled two different digis out to create my humorous holiday card.  Today I am playing with IMG491 Scrooges's Kitty and IMG352 Xmas Fred Bear.

IMG_E8191

I pulled out my colored pencils to color these images, and I just love how the cat looks like he is so very guilty of something.  What?  We don't know, but diffidently guilty.

  IMG_E8192

I like how these images make a card perfect for any cat family, but it is still pretty light hearted.  I also like the sticker sentiment i pulled out to finish the card.  It says, "if you meet my family you would understand", and lets be honest...that could not be more true.

Do you like serious cards, or ones that are lighthearted?  Let me know in the comments below what your favorite type of holiday cards are to make.  Until then, Happy Crafting.

Don't be a.....

PRICK!!!
hahahahah do you think I can get away that this is a Mexican Xmas tree????? hahahahhaha I hope so else I am in trouble again and you might never see me again if Lizzy finds out.....
Again I am using one of the stamps that you get with a subscription to the Creepy Cute Chronicles...

So I am showing you how I created the background for this card.
I used the Spectrum Noir Midas inkpad Rose Gold. I loveeee rose gold wish I could turn everything in rose gold. it is almost as good as PURPLE which is my top favourite color hahahaha
First I used a white stamping card and purple low tack tape. I cut this in 2 as it was to width and this way the stripes will be smaller which I love more for the size card I am making. I used a tiny make up brush to apply the Rose gold to the paper.

Now remove the purple tape gently, as sometimes even the low tack tape tears papers.

And than this is the end result. I always use my heatgun to dry the inks, so it will not smear after that.

Hope you like my post ;) Wishing you all a merry christmas or happy hollidays for what ever you are celebrating.
hugs Ria

Big Eye Whimsical Christmas the capricious carolers Image No. 389

Happy Sunday!!!! I created this card using Big Eye Whimsical Christmas the capricious carolers Image No. 389. I just love this image!!!!I used Copic markers to colour and created my own background pattern using musical note stamps. I stamped first and then went over with a black Gelly roll pen to make them look glossy. You can create your background using stamps, stencils, stickles, Nuvo drops, sequins and jewels. It's a great way to use your stash!!!

WINTER´S TIME

HI!!!!

Today I return here with a new collaboration with Oddball Art Stamps!

"WINTER´S TIME" is a tag that I created with image #119 and that you can find by clicking on the link on the Oddball website, where you can also find many other fantastic images designed by Lizzy Love.

For the mixed media background I used Finnabair's Impasto Pastel, the base with "Burlap" on it a cracker and on top of it the "Lavander".

Then I created a frame with snow effect paste.

The images are colored with Copic in the range BG, W, V, E and VB.

Remember that you can use my DTHADRY10 code to enjoy a 10% discount on the stamps that you can find on the web.

Zombie Santa Creepy Cute Chronicles Tutorial

Hi everyone!

Today I bring you another way to use digital stamps and it is that we can not only print them in the size we want, but if we use the png format, we can make our compositions directly on the computer and create the image we want to color and capture in our work

This is what I have done in this Christmas card that I have made with the freebie CCC83 Zombie Santa (that you will receive those who are subscribed to the newsletter, tonight), img#142 Creepy Cute Christmas HereComes Zombigale, img#333 Digital Stamp Creepy Cute Birds Dressed forHalloween Ready Mom and the tree included in img#273 Fran Tick & Dave thebat prepare for Hollidays.

Once I had the scene mounted, I resized it to the size I wanted and printed it.
It is colored with finecolour alcohol markers and the effect of the snow on the trees was made with white liquid corrector.

As you can see, one of the images, (the girl), is not printed with the rest of the scene, this is because I did not have the PNG of the image at hand and I had to print it in pdf. This way you can also see the difference

That's it. It is a very simple way to use the digi stamps and also fast, perfect for those last minute Christmas cards, LOL.

I hope you like it, inspire you and share your creations with the hashtag #creepycutechronicles so we can see them.

I remind you that you have at your disposal the discount code DTIRENE10 for your purchases in the Oddball store.

See you soon!
