From Scraps to Creations

Hi everyone and thanks for popping in to see today's inspiration using the Whimsical Mason Jar.  I used the png images and combined it with the Wide eyed Cat - Baxter image.

I coloured up the combined images and layered on a simple black matt after cutting with cameo using the trace function.   I then sorted through some backgrounds that I had put away for a rainy day.    I love how the pops of colours in the background work to highlight the image.   I overlaid some archival ink for shadow stamping effects and then added a sentiment, again using my cameo for the Hugs sentiment.

Think of the Turkeys! Thanksgiving Treat Bag

Hello everyone and welcome to another OddBall Art project share! For this make I used image #262 Sweetest Thanksgiving Ted The Cute Turkey! This cute little guy is begging everyone to spare his life, and in thought he would look perfect on a treat bag!

I decided to color this image using my American Crafts colored pencils,  keeping true to the colors I wanted to use. Because the treat bag has such a fun pattern,  I kept my layers simple, by die cutting both my image and a solid orange cardstock with some circle dies I have in my stash.

Once everything was adhered, I added a shear green ribbon to add an extra pop of color. My treat bag is now ready for a fun and festive gift.

Not Only Does My Mind Wonder...

Hey Oddballs!  It's EK from ekgorman designs popping in today to remind you that there is still plenty of time to play with this month's Delightfully Dark and Dismal challenge!  Make sure you pop over to join in on all the fun!

Today I am using the digital IMG129 Hadley and the Hairdresser to get a little goofy despite the dark and dismal situation.

Using my copics, I colored up the image and then distressed the boarders using some distress oxides in both hickory smoke and black soot.

I then added some die cut pieces to card and some printed cardstock under the whole thing.  I wanted the card to feel fun, all the while a little grimy and dark.  I think I may have found the perfect balance between the two.

 Hello, I'm Sabrina and I'm here with you today to show you my picture on paper, made with the beautiful  Kawaii Girl Sissy & Suzie Sleeps Alot

I printed  Kawaii Girl Sissy & Suzie Sleeps Alot  on cardboard 300gr watercolor and I colored with watercolors! I made the background with acqurelli, stamped sparse and thick pearlescent paste!

I then glued my cardboard  Kawaii Girl Sissy & Suzie Sleeps Alot   on a kraft-colored vegetable paper and then on a vegetable cardboard support! My little picture is ready to hang!

Fortune Tellers Magic Glass Ball Pastel Goth Image #476

hello, today I show you one of the pages of my art journal!

I printed Image #476 Fortune Tellers Magic Glass Ball Pastel Goth Image #476

And #234 Creepy Cute Sad Bunny on Skull Sweetie Pie Image No. 234  and colored with the Copic

 For the background I laid a chalk base and sand paste to create a texture, once dry I used the black Merlin arcilico, with the stencil and the black chalk I created the dotted relief on which I then spread the opal Magic . With the stancil stars and the Glimmer Paste Tonic !!

I added the stickers, the rhinestones and my page is ready !!

I love her so much that I think I'll make a box to contain my tarot!

Hi Oddballs!

And realizing a dream, I am Guest Design OddBall this November !! Can you imagine the happiness of the person here ???

During this month I will be posting some projects for you and I hope you enjoy it as I am very excited.

My first design is a magnet. It can be placed in the refrigerator or in warning board and has a clips to put messages, accounts or any kind of important notice. For this project I used image # 169

To color the image I used Faber-Castell and Staedtler colored pencils. I like colorful hair and I rarely wear hair with  traditional color. I made the base in a CD, nothing better than doing something recycling and helping the environment, do not you think?

I used black and green papers to match my girl's hair, and pictures or words showing the purpose of the piece. Black ribbons and a green bow to decorate the tag I placed behind the image.

I really like to create useful pieces and hope to bring you a tutorial for next week.

Dismal Pennat

Hello everyone!

November is always a weird time for me for crafting. I rarely get inspired to create projects, but this year, I am committed to sharing as many projects as I can. For my first make, I decided to create this pennant using image #460 Dismal Dahlia Dark Fairy Elf, for this months OddBall Art blog theme.

I wanted a soft look for this image. And decided to color it using some American Crafts colored pencils. A bit of Black Soot distress ink gave a soft, yet bold border to my die cut frame.

For my pennant, I used some chalk cardstock I had in my stash and I freehand cut my design. Created flyers by using a gold doilies piece and my project is done!

Did I roll My Eyes

Hey Oddballs!  It's EK from ekgorman designs, and I am sneaking in to let you know that Halloween may be over, but the creep isn't over at Oddball Arts.  We hold onto the creepy cute all year long.

Today I pulled out a bit of my snarky side, using this older digital stamp, IMG 122 Zombie Girl with Balloon.

There are actually a couple of digital balloon options for this digi, and I transferred out the original for the creepy eye ballon.  Then using my copic markers, I colored in the sweet zombie gal, trying to keep her colors bold despite her undead status.

I found the Ranger sentiment sticker after coloring the card, and needless to say knew it was the perfect one for this project.
