Our Oddball theme for July 2021 is 

FREE TO BE ME!

I needed a Birthday card for someone who is fond of little dogs - so I started playing with

Sylvie and Samson go for a walk

but just using Samson.

First, I just made an ATC with various scraps of card from my stash.

I trimmed the image to size and I coloured it with markers.

I then used a similar motif on the following Birthday card.

The sketch is a challenge in the UK Stampers Network.

I used layers of different card from my stash.

The sentiment is a Happy Little Stampers stamp.

Hello friends!

Here I am with another nice project for Oddball art.

To make it I used the Creepy Cute Chronicles digital stamp printed on cardboard suitable for use with alcohol markers and colored with Spectrum Noir Classique.

To make the background, I enjoyed spraying different splashes of color with the Distress Spray

Finally, after cutting out the colored digital stamp and the sentiment, I assembled my card.

Get Over It!

 Well good morning and happy Saturday!  Jenn here today and we're on, like, day 42 of rain or something ridiculous like that but at least it doesn't rain alllllll day.... just enough to make it impossible to make any plans at all!  LOL  Luckily, I have card-making to keep me busy when I'm stuck at home! I love this color combo - image is from the CCC #151 Life is Yummy set, colored with Blick alcohol markers then fussy-cut and adhered with some dimensional foam dots:

Papers are from Doodlebug Designs and I added a sentiment sticker and a little skull die-cut (both from Tim Holtz).   I outlined the orange box with black Stickles and edged the entire card with black ink.  Have a great weekend! Peace.

For this project I am using the

 JULY MEMBERS EXCLUSIVE CALLED CELEBRATION

You might remember that I am doing that ICAD challenge, making an index card a day during June and July. I made the following Index Cards in June using Oddball images.

They are small pieces of art on cards, 5 inches by 3 inches.

Today I am sharing another Index Card.

Step ONE

Make the background. I have been making alcohol ink backgrounds using Yupo card, alcohol inks, blending solution and a salad spinner.

This is the one I chose to use:

Step TWO

Print the images. Colour with markers and cut out. Glue in place (I used Cosmic Shimmer white glue).

Step THREE

Add black soot Distress Ink around the edges.

A little magic can take you a long way

 

This is today's post for Oddball Art Co - Our Oddball theme for July 2021 is 

Free To Be Me

For this project I am using the

CCC 153 Summer Spells and CCC153 Eyeballs

Just a simple card today....

Step ONE

Print the images. I combined the sentiment with a paper from  CCC 20

Step TWO

I cut out the eyeballs and using an embossing pen and clear embossing powder, I embossed them. I added black soot Distress Ink round the edges.

Step THREE

I trimmed the sentiment piece and embossed sections with clear, opaque and weathered wood embossing powders.

Step FOUR

I went over some of the black words with a Sakura glaze pen ( I love these!)

Step FIVE

I added this to a white card blank. Placed the eyeballs on dimensionals and added penwork around the edges.

The photos on my desk look very blue - the next picture is more true to colour.

Spooky Mail

   

This is today's post for Oddball Art Co 

This morning I got up pretty early to join in with a Zoom Craft and Chat with the UK Stampers Network. Claire was showing us how to make a 'cat in a box' card...the idea is that a cat has got into a cardboard box - one that might have come through the mail...

The box is made from a small strip of kraft card scored and folded and glued. A strip is stuck inside to add the 'cat' to. The box will fold flat to go in an envelope - or even as part of a card. My first version was this using a nutcracker image.

Later on I moved onto 'mark 2' putting my box into a card base. I started with a kraft card blank, matted with a paper from a BoBunny Timepiece 6x6 paper pad. I used vintage photo Distress ink around the edges. On top of this I placed a scrap of paper stamped with a Happy Post stamp - not sure where I got this from.

Inside is the box with added Distress Ink and a scrap of paper stamped with the Happy Post again.

In the box is Skeleton Cat CCC 40 coloured with markers and cut out.

I then added more paper to the inside of the card base.

 

And finally some images from CCC136 Spooky Mail, cut out and with a touch of paint pen.

Long Summer Nights

Hello!!

Today I bring you a short post to show you this inspiration card made with the CCC116 Premium Long Summer Nights from Oddball Stamps

It is as simple to do as print the complete image with all the elements at card size, as we find it in the download file and colorize it.

To avoid accidents, I first colored the elements of the digital stamp with my Finecolours and then I masked them with post-it paper (but you can use any other of the same style).

The background is also very simple: a sky at sunset with the purple, orange and red tones of the Pastel Ohuhu Markers; with the blue tones of the same set of markers, the sea; and sand with the warm grays of the Finecolours.

Simple, fast and beautiful.

I hope you like it and inspire and encourage you to make your own creations.
