Hello there Crafty Friends!
Monica here today to share a project from my art journal. I bought this book a looong time ago with plans to start art journaling but had not dared to touch it. As part of things I want to accomplish is push myself to try new things and use my supplies. And boy, am I happy I got to finally use it! This is a Dylusions Art Journal. You can find my blog here OwlMakeItCrafts.
I started by prepping my pages with white gesso, this is the Vicky Boutin brand. Once my pages were dry I used distress Oxide inks to blend in the color. I used a variety of colors and stencils to create my background.
The focus was going to be on this adorable image from the Oddball Stamps Shop, Called Vegan Boxer Girl Fight Like A Girl Felicity Image #187. I added details with some stamping around the page as well.
I wanted to create an empowering page to go with this image. As a girl mom I strongly believe in empowering women and girls. I searched online for some quotes that could go with this image and this one spoke to me, because no matter what life throws at you, you must be determined to pick up the pieces and keep fighting.
You can see my process on the video down below or on My YouTube Channel if you’re interested in seeing how I put this page together. Thank you so much for joining me today and remember to visit me over at the Oddball Blog. Have a wonderful day and don’t forget to empower someone today, a girl, woman or just anyone!

You are such a powerful creator of art, Monica. That's a brilliant quote I adore it because it is true! I love craftwork, and your selection of art is exquisite and attractive. Since the fighter looks slightly sad, I am sending her lots of courage to up her edge! Great artwork, looking for more tips!
ReplyDeleteThank you hun, big hugs DT Sis :)
