Caroline & Petey in a Tree

Hello everyone!

Today I bring you an Interactive Swing Card, which is very simple and easy to do (with or without die) in which I used the img# 195Printable Stamp Caroline & Petey in a Tree.

If you have the die, you only have to pass through your die cutting machine the parts corresponding to the swing, the triangle and the circular stop of the balancing mechanism and the foliage of the tree. If you do not have the die, make a small equilateral cardboard triangle approximately 1¼ inch sideways. In one of the vertices make a hole about 3/8 in diameter. Die or cut a circle about ½ inch that will make a stop. On another card, make the shape of a swing (one strip for the seat and two for the strings, as thin as you can). The strings will be stuck in the triangle, so make sure they are not very separate. Trim or punch, too, a cardboard shaped like a tree foliage. When you have these four pieces, you will be ready to make your card.

Color and trim your digi and "sit down it" on the swing. Color and trim your digi and "sit down it" on the swing. I painted my doll with my alcohol markers and took advantage of the fact that I was sitting on a tree branch, to use part of it as a swing seat.

Glue the strips of the swing to the base of the triangle (leaving the hole at the top) and prepare the base of your card decorating the bottom. In my case, with a stencil and blue ink, I made a cloud background.

It’s the turn to mount the mechanism. Calculate how high you have to hang your swing so that it doesn't get out of the card. Mark it with a pencil and paste at that point a circle of double-sided tape with foam, 3d foam dots or plastic bumpers that are sold for this type of cards (I don't know the name, I'm sorry). Once this is done, hang the swing and check that it swings. If it works well, paste the circle that you will have cut as a stop. Then we just have to finish gluing the “tree” that will cover the mechanism with two layers of double-sided tape with foam. Be careful not to hinder the proper functioning of the card. Glue on the sides and as far as the mechanism allows, on top of the "tree."

Check that everything works correctly and you will have your Interactive Swing Card.
