A Little Inspiration from Suzi

Hello My fellow Oddballer's, today I'd like to share with you a very quick tutorial and card featuring one of the latest new release images.

I couldn't resist using the adorable Hudson image#363, he is such a cutie.  I wanted to try something a little different when colouring his outfit, so I decide to give him a plaid shirt.

I chose 4 different colours of Alcohol Pens , for this project I used Letraset Promarkers and Tria Markers.  I created the pattern using a layer of lines for each colour, here are a couple of pictures of my practice sheet, to give you the idea;
As you can see the pattern builds up really quickly.  Once I was happy with my pattern, I used the same technique to colour Hudson's shirt;
Once I'd got the pattern onto Hudson's shirt, I added some shading using Neutral Grey markers.  I added some more colour to the pattern once I'd coloured the rest of the image, just to make his shirt stand out a little more.  I then added some highlights with white gel pen.

For the rest of my project, I took patterned papers from a coordinate pack and layered them onto a white card blank.  I trimmed my image and stamped the sentiment, before adding some hand doodles borders to all my papers.

I added my image to a patterned paper before adding it to my card with some dimensional foam pads to add a little depth to the card.

That's all from me for today
Bye for now
Suzi

Inspirational Post by Lozzy using #359

Hi everyone and hope you all ok.

Its Lozzy here today to show you a card that i made using Lizzy's new released image #359 "Dread Head"
Had to play with different coloured pencils for her hair and just love how she has turned out.
After colouring the image i scanned then added a sentiment that i thought would go with her hair before printing out.
Matt and layered onto Purple and Orange card stock, punched flowers and added to card blank.

Hope you keep popping back for more inspiration and dont forget we would love for you to join in our challenges here and over at Oddball Art Stamps Facebook Group as you could win Lizzy's stunning images which can be all found at Oddball Art Stamps Etsy shop

First New Release 2017 Inspiration by Tina

Hello Oddballs

It´s me, Tina
Today I can show you a few New Releases i made for your Inspiration.
At first i have created a candle with the sweet Image #363 "Hudson". I printed the Image on a white silk paper, gently colored with Polychromos, then put on the candle and short warmed it with the hair dryer. So the silk paper melts invisibly with the wax of the candle.

Second Image is #359 "Dread Head". The background i have designed with a kind of "soap bubble - technique". For this purpose, acrylic paint is mixed with rinsing agent and blown with a drinking straw until large bubbles are formed. The bubbles are then taken up with the paper and then show the circles.

And lastly is this cute dragon Image #360 "Sugar Puff"

All Digis i have colored again with Polychromos.

We also look forward to you and your works to our Challenges in FB and the Blog.

See you soon...
Tina

New Release Inspiration from Jennifer

Good morning Oddballs! Jennifer here, and I'm so excited to have my day to share some inspiration using the January 2017 release images from Oddball Art Stamps!

I've made two cards for you today; this release is SUCH a good one, I had SO many ideas floating around it was tough to narrow things down at first! I have more projects planned for future challenge cards, so stay tuned ;)

Here is my first project, featuring the fantastic Sugar Puff, Image #360. This image is so much fun, versatile and MAGICAL. I was instantly in love!

I have colored the image with Copics, and cut out with some old Spellbinders that seemed to fit the bill for the look I wanted. Added cloud background with Soft Sky ink and template. Swirl die is from MFT. Embossed clouds on the back panel, stamped the X's and O's on the wooden heart piece and lots of sequins, because who doesn't love those? Viola! The Sugar Puff panel is popped up with some foam tape.

My second card features Hudson, Image #363. What a sweetheart! I have boys, so you know I've gotta snap up those cute boy images whenever I can!

Again, this image is printed out and colored with Copics. I kept him pretty simple with a lovely inspirational sentiment and some fun embellies. He deserves to be the center of attention with that FACE! :)

That's it for me today! Can't wait to see you again in February for more Oddball Release inspiration!

New release post inspiration from Crafting Vicky

Hello!  It's my turn to share with you what I made with the fabulous new released images that you can find in Oddball's etsy store.

For the 1st one using image 363, I made a process video so you can actually see how easy it was to make!

And here is the picture for you.

I really do love to have alone time to be able to craft :)  So this was pretty representative of how I feel!

The next image that I used is image 359.  It was absolutely perfect to make a birthday card for a friend of mine.

The paper has been in my stash forever.  I used some flourish embellishments that were found at a dollar store.  The dies used are from Quickutz.

The image was colored with copics.
Finally the last card that I have to share with you is using the image 360.

The paper for this card is from Momenta cardstock.  I used Quickutz nesting squares rounded die and my Spellbinder deckled rectangle small and large to make this.

The image was colored with copics and the background with some pebbles chalk.

I hope that you will be inspired and that you will go and get the images to make your own crafty projects!

Have a great Saturday everyone.

New Release Inspiration by Penny

Very happy to be sharing a new release image from Lizzy today - Sugar Puff #360.  I was trying to make a scene and then somewhere along the lines I decided a shaker background would be kinda fun to play with too.   I coloured up the image with copics and then layered on the glossy accents to add some pop.   This image also comes with the cutest of dragons.   Be sure to check that out when in the shop.

Have you played in any of our challenges this month on the blog or over on Facebook?  We love looking at what people make and how differently people interpret each image.

January New Release Inspiration by Sarah using #361

Hi Oddballs!

It's Sarah here and Welcome to my inspiration post for January's New Release!

I have used the fab digi Charlie's Gone Fishing #361 and have created this card ready for Valentine's Day. I just love the wording that comes with this digi stamp :)

For this make I printed onto smooth white cardstock, then used Distress Inks for the background, as I wanted to create a night time sky for the stars and keep the forground simple for the fishing. I splashed drops of water onto the background to create a mystical / starry / snowy look and went over the stars and heart in the ink to make them pop. I coloured Charlie using ProMarkers and matted onto red cardstock. I die cut the heart and star and used gold thread and yellow gems to finish.

Don't forget to join in with the blog and facebook challenges!

Thanks for stopping by!
