Card "Hello summer" by Roberta

Hello everyone!
Here is my first project as a DT Member of Oddball Art & Co.
I am really very happy to be part of this team, I like the stamps very much!
To make this card I used the Sally & Charlie digital stamp that I printed on cardboard suitable for use with alcohol markers.

The background was created with Distress Oxide in Faded Jeans and Broken China shades.
Next I created the sea waves with a stencil and glitter paste.

Do you like my project ???
You can find me on instagram @robyscrap and on facebook La Scrap Caverna

See you soon,
Roberta

Frankenstein bookmark

Hello everyone!

This is my first post here on Oddball blog, but certainly not the last 😀

I wanted to show you a bookmark I made for my hubby. He loves to read horror stories so I think this suits well for him.

I used Frankenstein #92 digi stamp and coloured it with alcohol markers. I wanted to use little different skin colour for this (I have coloured many greens and greys), so I used blue-greens.

On the background I have used stencil, pasta, Distress Oxides and different sprays (it's made earlier this year). Then I wanted to add something to ribbons too, so there is now eyes and spiders and BLOOD (acrylic paint).

I hope this inspires you to do your own bookmarks. Happy reading an crafting moments to everyone!

Oh, almost forgot -  remember to use code DTMER1 on Oddball Art Website so you get 2 digi stamps and pay only one!

Love Bites

IMG_E9081
Hey Oddballs, it's EK.  I really do love a Valentine's Card with a twisted sense of humor.  I mean, Valentine's Day can get so over blown, so finding an image that is a little humorous really makes me excited.  I am just loving IMG506 Mr. Valentine from Oddball Art because it has exactly that bit of love and humor I am always looking for.

IMG_9075
I printed out the image onto some watercolor paper using red ink.

IMG_9076
Using Tombow markers, I colored in the image.

IMG_9077
I would outline the digital image lines with the marker...

IMG_9078
Then using the blender pen, I blend out the marker.

IMG_9080
Using a stencil and some Distress Oxide in Tattered Rose, I added a little background hearts.

IMG_E9082
Finally, I added a bit of red ink around the edges and added the image onto an A2 card frame!

Let me know what kind of Valentine's are your favorite to make in the comments below.  Until then, Happy Crafting!

The End of Summer

banner
There is still plenty of time to play with the currently Monthly Challenge over at Oddball Art!  This month's optional theme is Sweet Lemon Sour, so a really fun open theme to get involved and maybe even walk away with a prize from Oddball Art!

EK Gorman, Oddball Art Challenge Reminder a

Today I am playing around with not only IMG 505 Creepy Cute Coconut but also the August exclusive stamp set for the Creepy Cute Chronicles premium subscription.
If you are not yet aware of the Premium Membership, it is a yearly subscription that not only gets you each month's premium digital image, but also instant access to all of the Creepy Cute Chronicles digital images.  Just so you know as of publication, there is 65 different images and on Friday, there will be one more!

EK Gorman, Oddball Art Challenge Reminder b

I don't know about you, but the end of summer vacation, and well, frankly summer itself is quickly rushing up towards us.  And like a really good glass a Lemonade, I find it both sweet and sour.  The heat will soon be done, and the beauty of fall is on the horizon, and yet at the same time, the kiddos are back in school and the hectic race of that life making things just a little sour.  You might find it funny, but I actually like having the kids home on break, and each time a new school year starts, I get a little sad because of how fast they are growing.

So my project today is to sort of reflect those feelings I am having about the end of summer: the ice is melting, and the cocktail is gone.

EK Gorman, Oddball Art Challenge Reminder c

I colored up my project with my copics and kept the card a single layered project.  I wrote in 'the end of summer' with my pen just so we don't think the card is too depressing.

I can't wait to see how you play along with this fun Oddball Art theme.  Struggling with the theme,  well, go ahead and submit a project anyway.  The theme is always optional, so you totally should get involved.  Until then, happy crafting.

Writing Speech Bubble Sentiments Letter to Mom... or not

Hello everybody!

Today I share with you this inspiration card made with the digital stamp Img #377 Writing Speech Bubble Sentiments Letter to Mom and I show you how to use a stamp of one theme in another completely opposite.

This girl who wrote a letter for the Mothers' Day, has gone on to become a student waiting for September to pass.

The background is made with a stencil and the Worm Lipstick Distress Ink. The table is drawn directly on the cardboard with alcohol markers.

The window is cut with a die and the blue sky clouds masking the area before inking.

The doll is painted with alcohol markers.

Creepy Cute Chronicles #62:Jolly Bear

Hi everybody! I’m Irene and this is my first tutorial as a OddballArt Stamps DT. I’m very happy to be here.

For this my first project I used this week freebie image, CCC #62 Jolly Bear, which you will have on your mails this night if you are sucribed to the Oddball newsletter.

I also used too the digital stamp Zombie Graveyard Inmortal Love (img #368) and the Bee Happy Spring Flowers, Bees and Sentiment (img #534), all of them colored with alcohol markers.

I coloured the grass of the background and the little bear with the stippling tecnique.

And I made the sky with Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet Distress Inks, using my makeup brushes (LOL) and masking with a post-it the graveyard. And I went over the white edges with ink and a cotton swab.

I cuted de flowers of the img 534 for use only a couple in my card. So that they did not stand out too much, I went over the edges with one of the markers I used for the grass.

I wrote the sentiment with black gel pen.

March Challenge Art Journal Layout

IMG_4974

Hey Oddballs, it's EK from ekgorman designs and I am popping into to remind you to play along with this month's Challenge.

Everyone Month, Oddball Art puts out a challenge, that has a loose theme of "Life Size Leprechauns & Unlucky Clovers".  But in reality, this month long challenge is an Anything Goes, with any stamp and any theme.

This month, Oddball is stepping up things, and letting you get two chances to win...bring a friend to the challenge and if one of you is randomly picked, both of you win.

EK Gorman, Oddball March Challenge a

I created an Art Journal layout for this month's challenge reminder (see it is truly an anything goes challenge) with a non-saint Patrick's Day themed digital stamp from Oddball.  I pulled out the digi IMG129 Hadley and the Hairdresser and colored her up with my copics, and then added her to a more traditional art journal page.

If you want to watch not only how I colored up the image, but see how I created the background in the art journal, pop over and watch this video now.

EK Gorman, Oddball March Challenge c

Thanks for popping in today, and make sure you participate.  If you need to, say I referred you to the monthly challenge.

Zombies Need Love Too

EK Gorman, Oddball Art 2:12 zombies need love too g
Hey Oddball fans...It's EK from ekgorman designs and I am sneaking in today to share some valentines cards I whipped up for a couple of zombies in my life...because let's be honest, zombies need love too.

I started by printing out the two digital stamps, IMG 280 Valentines Day Love Sick Heidi and IMG367 Valentine Undead Leni.

  IMG_4739
I pulled out my copics and colored in both of their undead flesh.  Leni got a pasty colored flesh using E40, E41, E43, and E44.  Heidi was colored with E40, E41, YG91, YG93, and YG95.

  IMG_4740
Wanting the zombie to be the star of the show, I pulled out my W5, W6, and W9 to color in accessories around the zombies.

  IMG_4741
Eyes and lips were hit with a little W1, W3, and W5.

  IMG_4751
Finally, Leni's hair was colored with G24, G94 and G99 while Heidi's hair was colored a little more traditionally with some E44, E47, E29 and E49.  I also surrouned the zombie ladies with some R20, R22, and R24.

EK Gorman, Oddball Art 2:12 zombies need love too c
Love Sick Heidi got trimmed up a little a matted with some red cardstock.  I also pulled out some black glitter paper, so Heidi could feel special on this the day of love, and adhered it to some more red cardstock.

EK Gorman, Oddball Art 2:12 zombies need love too b
I added a few red adhesive dots some Heidi knows that she isn't left out this year for Valentine's Day.

EK Gorman, Oddball Art 2:12 zombies need love too d
Undead Leni got trimmed up and matted with some black cardstock.  She got some pink glitter paper that was also matted with black cardstock.

EK Gorman, Oddball Art 2:12 zombies need love too e
Leni was given a bit more glam with some black rhinestones, a black flower and some mini rhinestones.

As Valentine's Day approaches don't forget to give a little love to the undead in your life.  They need love too.

If you find you need a digital stamp today, pop over to Oddball and get 10% off today, by using the code DTEK10.
