Stay Cute

Hey Oddballs!  It's EK popping in with a brand new card designs.  Anyone else during these strange times finding they now have day jammies and then switch into their night jammies?  I never wear jammies during the day normally, and rarely wear work out cloths unless I am actually working out.  However, with my family staying home to flatten the curve, I find that all of us dress like we are constantly off to bed.

Yesterday, I walked down fully dressed in adult cloths (really nothing fancy, just jeans and cute top) and my children asked where I was going.  I informed that today I was going to dress like life was normal, and stay cute.  This morning, all three of my kids (one a teenager, and the other two preteens) walked down dressed for school like they had prior to covid.  I asked what they were doing, knowing that I too was dressed like normal, and my 11 year old said simply, "Staying Cute."

I thought it would only appropriate today to pull out the digital stamp IMG471 Skull and Ball Cap from Oddball Art and create a little card to remind us all to Stay Cute!  (By the way dressing in 'real' cloths really helped my outlook on my day, if you were wondering.  I'm curious to see if it does the same for my kids).

I started by printing out the digital image onto some cardstock.  Then using my copic markers I colored the image.

After coloring in the image (and aiming for a girly feel despite the skull), I fussy cut out the focal image.

I have been playing with my alcohol inks a lot lately and decided to create a fun purple and grey background for my oddball stamp.  I used Pebble, Purple Twilight and Wild Plum to create this background.

I adhered the background to an A2 card frame and then adhered with double sided tape the skull to the background.

Finally, I added a sentiment from Tim Holtz Snarky sticker collection.  I think no truer sentiment could be used in these strange times.

I hope my card finds you happy, healthy, still possessing a sense of humor, and frankly staying cute.

If you are looking for some new images to color while you finish up doing nothing from yesterday, pop over to Oddball Art to snag a few new digital stamps.  Oddball Art is known for their whimsical images with a touch of humor.  And you don't have to wait to the mailman to arrive to get crafting.  All you have to do is print!

Make sure you share you work over on the Oddball Art Facebook Ground with the design team so we can see what you are up to.  Until then, happy crafting!

Color Me Happy

Hello There Oddballs, Monica here today to share some inspiration using the adorable images from Oddball Stamps and today I am using the TP Mummy from this week’s CCC issue. This cutie is adorable covered in TP but I decided to use another image from a previous issue to create a fun card and add color.
Again this is a CAS card but I think it’s adorable.I used the colored version of this image and continued with the color scheme from the spray can for my card. As you can see it’s very simple, to add interest I popped the can on foam tape and called it a day 😊

Nurse love

Jenny has a cure
This post is for all the nurses out there doing their best job.  At this critical time I think about all the nurses I have known from my clinical nurse to oncology nurses.  This is my salute to you😘!!
This card was made using the fabulous Jenny, created by the talented Lizzy at Oddballartstamps. This set comes with Jenny and 3 sentiments.  I used black widow light skin for her skin, Irijiten pencils for her clothes and prima premium colored pencils for her hair.

In fact, it is made with the freebie bear CCC 62 Jolly Bear, the balloons of the digi CCC 90 Bummed Out Bear and the feeling of the image #126Big Eye Girl Aya Tags the Wall.

The background was made with a stencil in the shape of clouds and I-Zink ink, Océan color.

TP Shop- Mummy Fashion

**Warning!** This post comes with a Picture overload 😊

Hello There Oddballs! Monica here again. It’s Creepy Cute Friday once again! Hard to believe how fast time flies, but here we are, another week come and gone. So with all the TP craze Lizzy has another fun TP image for us. This week’s  edition of the Creepy Cute Chronicles  features a TP mummy.

Today I have a tutorial for you. I had planned to make a different card but once the creative juices start flowing, well, plans changed. I made a pop up box card, these are so fun to make especially when adding all the elements, but this is a mini version and hope you like it and make some yourself.
-First you need a piece of card stock that measures 8-3/4”x 4-1/4”. -you will need to score at the following  3-1/4”, 4-1/4”, 7-1/2", 8-1/2". flip over and score at 2-1/8".
-You also need a strip that measures 3-3/4"x 1/2" (score 1/4" on each end-fold opposite sides).

-Choose a side and Cut on score marks up to the half mark. For the smaller 1" flaps cut off 1" and the 1/4" cut it all off(this is what will glue the box together)

Add glue or a strong double sided tape to the little 1/4" flap and fold the card on to it. I added the 1/2” strip to the center of the card and this is so I can add different levels of dimension when adding images. You can add another level but because my card is smaller I only did one this time .
-Add acetate strips time your images and think of where you want to place them. I added strong tape to the bottom so I could glue them

Now it’s time to decorate our card. Like I mentioned I am using the TP Mummy from tonight’s CCC issue. But I am also unsung images 523 Creepy Cute Cafe and 528 Rosy & Twinky.  The cafe can be used for many things and I decided to use it as a TP shop  I played with it and changed how it’s supposed to be  cut half and flipped the top and bottom.  Also used the TP image from last week, which you can still download before it’s gone. 😉

Remember you can purchase these images at the Oddball Stamps  shop and download the FREE CCC images when you sign up for the newsletter here.

I also used some of the TP images from the April Exclussive which you can only get if you’re a Premium Member.
For only $15/year you have access to all CCC images & premium versions of the CCC images, exclude monthly images and some occasional promotions. A really steal of you ask me😁

And here is my finished card, hope you enjoyed the process and give it a try 😉
Have a wonderful weekend and catch you again soon!

April's Premium Membership Stamp

Hey there Creeps!

Its Celia from Paper Beats Rock Designs and its the first of April so you know what that means! A brand new stamp for the premium members for of the Creepy Cute Chronicles from Oddballartco. This months stamp is another nod to the current Global situation. It includes the medical masked Corona Chan stamp, 3 different rolls of toilet paper stamps, and a virus molecule stamp.
With it, I created this fun card for an awesome nurse I know who is working her butt off during all this chaos. I printed Chan  and Dr Feel Good #414 and colored them up with alchohol markers. Then I went and found a paper from my stash that had mandalas on it, which reminded me virus molecules. Then I stamped some fun circular images around the paper as well as the sentiment. (Not sure where this sentiment & circular shapes stamp came from, but it reminded me of germs again.)
After that I just distressed the edges of the paper, and outlined it with a .07 Pilot pen.
I propped Corona Chan up on some craft foam and glued her down to the front of the card with a bit of gauze behind her. I then stamped another sentiment on the inside and glued down Dr. Feel Good on the inside of the card.
I think everyone needs a bit of encouragement right now, especially medical staff. I hope you are inspired to make a "Random Act of Kindness" card for someone you think needs one in these crazy days.
Make sure to sign up for the Creepy Cute Chronicles Premium Membership to receive your April Exclusive!
