Lazy Louise

Hey Oddballs,

Today's post comes with some inspiration for our July blog challenge - Optional Twist "Dots and Doodles".  I have used IMG#121 Lazy Louise N Bath Time Bubble Friends mainly because of the dots on the bath and the bubbles.  This time I have coloured the image with Prismacolors, still learning to use them, but quite happy how I have created softness with the pastel shades.

ATC Swap June 2018 Reminder

Hey Oddballs,

I am here today to remind you our ATC swap has moved to the Oddball website https://www.oddballartco.com/

If you go to the Community tab, then to the Oddball Forum, and then click on the bottom left-hand box for the ATC Swaps https://www.oddballartco.com/community/oddball-art-swaps.  There you will see a box that contains the rules of the swaps and then the current month's swap next to hit.  Hit that box and then you leave your comments and photos of your ATCs there, easy peasy.  However, don't forget you must log in first to join in the conversation.

Now the other purpose of introducing Fay the Fancy Fairy is to remind you about our monthly ATC swap.  I have already entered two ATCs into the album, but I have also made a Fay the Fancy Fairy ATC for our May theme, Goblins, Fairies and Ghouls, Oh My!  She will also be going into the album and some lucky participant in this month's swap will receive her - a Special Edition ATC I think we will call her.  So if you haven't put your name down for this month's swap, do it now and you could be the lucky one to receive this special edition ATC.  Go to our Facebook group now and sign up.  You will find the ATC Swap posted in the pinned post and our host this month is Jennifer Greco and she would love to see your name there.  We would love to see some new faces and styles.  ATCs are great fun and if you are strapped for time, you only need to make one to join in the fun.  ATCs are fun all the time, no matter what the present craze is, you can't go past the fun in receiving an envelope from who knows where - Canada, America, Australia, Sweden, Germany Finland - I could go on - anywhere in the world - and the friendships you form from one little rectange 2.5" x 3.5" are AMAZING to say the least.

Nixie the Pixie IMG#217

Hey Oddballs,

Well I am here, stressed but here.  This post comes to you using an outdated laptop with an outdated Windows Vista Home on it.  I think I will have to ditch this as well as my computer when I get my new one.  Here's hoping I still have access to all my digi files.  I have backed them up from time to time, but not the latest ones.  I think I am going to work in the new age from now on with those cloud thingos!!  I think after this post, I will go do some ATCs, I have the laptop sitting on my computer desk but my hand keeps going over to the mouse for my computer that is not connected to anything.  Maybe it is just time for a coffee, Angie!  Well back to my inspiration, here it is

I am Messy Shannon

Hi Oddballs,




Our April theme is "Messy & Sketchy", so I decided to use IMG#232/B "Shannon" for my inspiration.  As soon as I saw her sweatshirt top with the words "I am" on it, I knew I could do something with it.  Not being a real digital artist I just used a text box to add the word Messy, and I found the perfect quote to go with it.  I used the "Happy Birthday sentiment" in the set as well.  This set is great value with a speech bubble and six sentiments as well.

"Cute or Die" bookmark

Well as you Oddballs would already know, our theme for February 2018 is "Cute or Die".  I think I have more cute tastes than die, so I have had another attempt at an improved magnetic bookmark using IMG#424 "Cat Lady"https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/584567073/digital-stamp-instant-download-cute?ref=shop_home_active_6 .  I have made this bookmark for my 9 year old grand-daughter Verity and this time I have laminated it before adding the magnet strips to protect it a bit more.  I hope you like it.  I have also added IMG#26 Kawaii Hearts https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/182194913/digi-stamp-digital-instant-download?ga_search_query=hearts&ref=shop_items_search_10 to the scene.

How's it going Oddballs?  I told you I am coming out of my comfort zone.  Today I am trying to inspire you to make other things besides cards, well I inspired myself to .. Da da, we have my very first attempt at bookmarks.
