That Cute Sunflower!

Ever since I made the ATCs above - you will find that post here - I have had an idea in my head. Finally I am going to share it with you...

This card includes a 'gift' as it has a decorated paperclip attached.

It is today's makes for Oddball Art Co - Our Oddball theme for this month is

Flowers and Sunshine

I am using the MAY MEMBERS EXCLUSIVE CALLED CREEPY VS CUTE
 - just the cute image!

Step ONE

Print the image several times and colour with markers and fineliners. Attach to a large paperclip using hot glue. I added cardboard circles to each side of the paperclip with a cardboard filler in between. I then added images and raffia to each side, doubling up the images to make more petals. I then added pearls to define the eyes.

Step TWO

Prepare the back ground. I wanted a really colourful, sunshiny background and having watched a you-tube video by Carolyn Dube I decided to make some hot glue stamps on cardboard and use them on my Gelli plate. I tried to make some floral shapes as well as more abstract shapes.

Step THREE

I then brayered paint onto my Gelli plate in bright colours, removed some of the paint with the stamps and made a few pulls.

The one I am using for this card is this:

I hope you can see some of the floral images...

Step FOUR

Using a craft card, I cut a horizontal line across the front and glued the top flap down. I then added sections of the background to it.

Step FIVE

I clipped on the paperclip

Enjoy your days off... if they let you!

Hi!

Today I bring you a quick and simple tutorial as DT from Oddball Stamps in which I have used the images #361 On the Dock Charlie’s Gone Fishing and #499 Cute Kiss My Sass Woodland Critters

I have colored them with my Finecolour and trimmed with scissors.

On the basis of the card I drew the scene with a pencil: the sand, the plants, the water and the rest of the dock.

Once the sketch was finished, I went over it with a fine-tipped black marker and colored it.

Finally I glued the stamps and printed the sentiment on a white cardboard with the font in blue tone, adhering it to the base with double-sided 3D tape.

It's simple, it's fast, and it's pretty.

I hope you like it and inspire you and remember that you have the discount code DTIRENE10 for your purchases, the hashtag #creepycutechronicles to share your work and a lot of monthly challenges on the Oddball Spaces site.

See you!

Bears and Flowers!

Hi Oddballs!  Jenn here today - we had some excitement at our house yesterday morning... I live smack dab in the geographical center of Massachusetts in a town called Rutland.  It's a rural town but has had a lot of new developments recently, leaving the wildlife struggling to find places where they can safely roam and live.  Anyway, yesterday morning this guy stopped by our neighbor's bird feeder and chicken coop looking for a snack and we all scared him off so he wouldn't get into trouble...

Pretty cool, huh?  The neighbor called the Mass Wildlife Association and was told we have 2 known bear dens in the woods behind our houses.  I won't be going for any strolls through the woods any time soon!

Today I have a couple of projects to share with you using the fun May Members Exclusive Images Creepy vs Cute - first up is a card using my standard format of 5.25x5.25 inches:

And a couple of ATCoins (my new addiction - ha!):

I hope you are all enjoying some nice weather and spending some time in the fresh air and I hope you all have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend coming up!  Peace.

Pop pop Cute Medical Lab...a card by ilCiecoFuffo spot #27

Good morning Creepy Girls today I'm here with you with a new Shaker card ❤️❤️❤️ yes yes I know lately I put sequins everywhere, but I love the sparkle they make and the noise when you shake the card. For this creation I used an element of one of the latest OddballArtStamp CCC150 "MED LAB WORKER WEEK" stamp sets, it is the first time that I have not dyed one of her sweet girls, but these test tubes have stolen my heart and imagination.
First I made the writing, I put my Maky (Cricut) and its holy precision to work, in fact it is not a writing made by me, but a real part of the set of stamps, which however I have rearranged to my liking with Photoshop, and digitally colored and later with Cricut Design Space I created the outline. Of course then I had to work hard to put it back together without breaking anything, but I succeeded🤪🤪.

At this point, after opening the image of the test tubes, I composed the card again with Photoshop and printed everything on paper for markers and masking. I colored the stamp on the base and cut out the mask.

After applying the mask on the drawing, test tubes and hearts, I added more bubbles by creating drops on the base with masking liquid, in this way I ensure a perfect white at the end of the card.
Let's move on to the coloring now, below you see the final pieces that make up the final card, base card, transparent acetate, white base, but below still the time of drafting and the colors.

To create this shade I used Distress oxides spread with a Taylored brush.

I love this color combo, don't you?

Spreading out the color, I cut out the inside of the tubes to create the window, I applied the acetate sheet behind, made the skeleton to contain the pillettes with the thick tape put double and then the delusional part ... put the beads and let them stay within the boundaries of the double-sided tape😱😱
On the white base I passed the dirty paint brushes that I had used for the top of the card and I slightly smudged it, with a pen then I wrote "pop pop pop" here and there to simulate the explosion of bubbles. I then closed everything very very carefully.

I attached the writing I had created first and here the card is finished!

I send everyone a lot of kisses and I hope you liked this card, for questions and comments I am waiting for you on the OddballArtStamp Blog, that is below.

Yours

CiecoFuffo

Peace, Love, and Hippies

Hello Oddballs!  Jenn here today - tomorrow's theme for the Creepy Cute Chronicles is Wild & Free/Boho/Hippie Daze and that theme is right up my alley so I made a couple of fun cards using Whimsical Big Eye Flower Girl Noora Image #244.  For the first card, I printed out her whole body, colored her with a combination of Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and Blick alcohol markers.  I used a banner die cut, a frame die cut, and a peace sign die cut and added some gemstone stickers and alphabet stickers to spell out "peace" on the banner - all other embellies are from Doodlebug Designs coordinating paper pads & stickers (this one was a lot of fun to make!):

For the card above, I printed out a tie dye background and then cropped the image close to get a nice big face to color.  I used a combination of Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits with Blick alcohol markers and gave her some sparkly eye shadow with Ranger Stickles.  Threw some decorative tape on there along with a paper flower with a button center and some peace sign die cuts.  I hope you like! Peace.
