Creepy Cute Chronicles #64

Hey Everyone!  It's EK and I am popping in to remind you that it is Friday night, so that means it is time for a for a brand new Creepy Cute Chronicles from Oddball Art.  This is the digital art of Buster Bites that is included inside this week's free newsletter.

I colored the image up using my colored pencils and used plenty of Gamsol

 to make it look like it wasn't simply colored pencils.

Zombies Need Love Too

Hey Oddball fans...It's EK from ekgorman designs and I am sneaking in today to share some valentines cards I whipped up for a couple of zombies in my life...because let's be honest, zombies need love too.

 

I started by printing out the two digital stamps, IMG 280 Valentines Day Love Sick Heidi and IMG367 Valentine Undead Leni.

 

I pulled out my copics and colored in both of their undead flesh.  Leni got a pasty colored flesh using E40, E41, E43, and E44.  Heidi was colored with E40, E41, YG91, YG93, and YG95.

 

Wanting the zombie to be the star of the show, I pulled out my W5, W6, and W9 to color in accessories around the zombies.

 

Eyes and lips were hit with a little W1, W3, and W5.

 

Finally, Leni's hair was colored with G24, G94 and G99 while Heidi's hair was colored a little more traditionally with some E44, E47, E29 and E49.  I also surrouned the zombie ladies with some R20, R22, and R24.

 

Love Sick Heidi got trimmed up a little a matted with some red cardstock.  I also pulled out some black glitter paper, so Heidi could feel special on this the day of love, and adhered it to some more red cardstock.

 

I added a few red adhesive dots some Heidi knows that she isn't left out this year for Valentine's Day.

  

 

Undead Leni got trimmed up and matted with some black cardstock.  She got some pink glitter paper that was also matted with black cardstock.

 

Leni was given a bit more glam with some black rhinestones, a black flower and some mini rhinestones. 

 As Valentine's Day approaches don't forget to give a little love to the undead in your life.  They need love too.

Did I roll My Eyes

Hey Oddballs!  It's EK from ekgorman designs, and I am sneaking in to let you know that Halloween may be over, but the creep isn't over at Oddball Arts.  We hold onto the creepy cute all year long.

Today I pulled out a bit of my snarky side, using this older digital stamp, IMG 122 Zombie Girl with Balloon.

There are actually a couple of digital balloon options for this digi, and I transferred out the original for the creepy eye ballon.  Then using my copic markers, I colored in the sweet zombie gal, trying to keep her colors bold despite her undead status.

I found the Ranger sentiment sticker after coloring the card, and needless to say knew it was the perfect one for this project.

There Were Too Many Other Options

Hey Oddballs!!!  It's EK from ekgorman designs sneaking in today to ask:  Have you played along with the current August Lost Souls of Innocent Dolls?  

Well, why not?  Did you know that there is a chance to win free digital stamps if you use an Oddball Digital stamps and play along with the theme?  And lets be honest...lost souls of innocent dolls...that theme works with 90% of all the Oddball Art!

Today I am playing along with the IMG48 Big Eyed Zombie Girl and trying to create a since of innocence with my CAS card.

For this project I pulled out my copic markers and colored up my little zombie girl.  To create a little bit of a sour skin tone I pulled out my E40, E41 and E42 to give her a little bit of that sickly tone.

Also I die cut out a panel in the card and added something that didn't make any since, an off white pineapple paper.  Yes you are right, the panel is illogical, but I love the idea that this little lady is looking out to something beautiful, yet surreal, without creating a real window.

I finally added a Tim Holtz snarky sentiment sticker, because frankly, this is the speech my little angels give me each and every day when they get into a bit of trouble.

Hey Oddballs!!!  EK here to remind you about the challenge happening here!

I've created a project using this month's theme challenge theme "Goblins, Fairies and Ghouls, Oh My", however did it without using a traditional goblin, fairy, or ghoul digital image.

Instead, I pulled out a perfectly "normal" image, IMG13 Stormy, and zombified it.

Then, after turning our big eyed girl green, and giving her some new stitches, I went crazy with my copics and created a stormy background.

It's Time for the MAY 2018 Oddball Blog Challenge!

Our monthly blog challenges run from the 1st til the end of the month. 

You have until the end of  May to submit your entries 

(Yes! you can enter up to 3 times as always)

You may link to your Facebook or Instagram posts to enter the challenge if you don't have a blog.  

But here's the catch...

Your entry just needs to be a NEW post dated sometime in MAY 2018.

Now for our brand new challenge.

 Just as in previous months we will have a theme BUT it's optional so...

you can enter our challenge using any stamp from any company with any theme BUT if you do decide to follow our theme,

"Goblins, Fairies & Ghouls Oh My!"

and are chosen as one of our winners, the following prizes will be awarded.......

We have a few simple rules for you to follow if you want to play along in our challenge:

1. We have a monthly theme but it's optional (see note below)
2. Please mention and link back to our challenge on your personal blogs/galleries
3. Creations must be NEW, no backlinking
4. Limit of 3 entries per person

NOTE: 

• regarding our optional theme:  if you are chosen as our winner AND you have followed the theme for that month you will win 1 extra stamp
•  regarding Top 3: we only have a Top 3 if we have AT LEAST 15 entries minimum into our challenge.
