Hello Crafty Friends! Monica here!

It’s Creepy Cute Friday! And I am very exited to share with you another project for the Creepy Cute Chronicles  over at the Oddball Stamps blog  today. It has been a little while since I shared a CCC project and I have missed it and you all.

Today I an using this adorable pooch image is your freebie for the CCC#119 issue. So be sure to sign up if you have not done so, you will get this free image and another every week!

Today I have a quick and easy tutorial on an art journal page, I am using my Dylusions journal, which has been begging to be used ๐Ÿ˜Š.

1. I printed my images and was eager to color them so I went straight for it before I realized my camera was not filming  anyway, I used Copic markers in different shades . I then fussy cut them out and set aside.

2. I started with a blank spread. Since I was creating a simple background I chose not to prime my page first. And then added  a brick background using a stencil and distress ink.

3. Once I was happy with how the page looked I found a place for my images. I am using the Premium version of this issue along with previous Creepy Cute Chronicles images.  I love all the extra options that Lizzy includes with it.  And this time it even has a poem! I love it so much, hence why I decided on an art journal page this time.

4. OnceI glued the poem I added a bit of detail with an ink blender to make it fit the page. I then glued my images down where I wanted them. (I told you this was a simple page spread, lol ๐Ÿ˜Š). As a final little detail I added “shadows” coming from my dog and little girl. Since I wanted them to be the focus of the page.

Too Many Other Options

IMG_E8503
Hey Friends!  It's EK and today I am popping back to my roots and going old school.  When I started down the art/crafting path many years ago, the only watercolors I owned for the longest time were Distress Inks.  Now I own high quality watercolors, watercolor pencils, watercolor markers, hybrid watercolors and so much more.  I have abandoned my first watercolors basically at this point, so I thought it might be fun to pull them back out.

I pulled an oldie but goodie digital stamp from Oddball Art to play around with, IMG 113 Bad Girls Have More Fun.  I printed the image out onto some watercolor paper, and painted it up using a collection of Distress Inks.  The jeans were colored with Faded Jeans, the sweatshirt with Dusty concord, and her skin tone with both Tattered Rose and Brushed Corduroy.

I fussy cut out both the image and the sentiment, then layered on some printed paper, trying to keep the background both interesting and simple (always a hard feat).  Finally I added a little detailing with a pen and a few drops of Nuvo.

What is your favorite way to watercolor, both old school and modern?  Let us know in the comments below.  Until then, happy crafting.

Zombie Gift

Hello!

Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope you had a great Christmas Eve and that Santa brought you a lot of presents!

Today is Friday and once again I bring you a tutorial for the oddball DT. This week, the star of the CCC85 Zombie Gift is this terrifying little box that I have accompanied with the images #392 Digi StampBig Eye Whimsical Christmas Wendy Winter and one of the latest releases of Lizzy Love, image #543 Digital Stamp Cute Big Eye Christmas Deer Girl WithLights.

It is a very simple and quick card to make to continue with the series of quick ideas for last minute cards.

After coloring with my alcohol markers and cutting the images, I made a very simple background with a spray ink and white splashes. To give it a festive touch, I drew an imperfect frame with a Golden gel pen. I pasted the scene in its place and added a yellow card base for more light to the card.

The feeling is what accompanies the Premium version of the freebie.

I hope you like it and give you ideas for your last minute cards.
Share your creations with the hashtag #creepycutechronicles. Remember that you have the discount code DTIRENE10 for your purchases in the Oddballstore and that in the blog you will find much more inspiration.

I wish you a wonderful end of the year and that the new one comes full of dreams come true!

See you next year!

Happy 2020!

Happy Holidays

Hi everyone!

Today I bring you an inspirational Christmas card with theimg# 263 Big Eye Girl Winter Snowfall Fight Tia the Ice Queen stamp that I have accompanied with a tree that you can get in the img# 273 Fran Tick & Davethe bat prepare for Hollidays.

First I made a very simple background masking the bottom of my base and painting the top with alcohol ink spray in blue and dripping a white corrector liquid on small spots. I let everything dry well.

Meanwhile, I colored the stamps with my Finecolour and added a touch of white corrector liquid to the tree to simulate the snow.

I pasted my images on the background, highlighting the girl with 3D foam.

Finally, I cut a border-shaped feeling to accompany the card and reviewed the letters with a transparent Wink of Stella and added some sequins to give it more shine and relief.

I hope you like it, inspire you and show us your creations with the hashtag #creepycutechronicles.
Remember that you have at your disposal the discount code DTIRENE10 to buy new stamps in the Oddball store.

Sweet Kawaii Christmas Bear X-Mas Fred

Hello everyone!

One more day I come to share a card made with an Oddball digi stamp.

The Christmas season is approaching and you have to start congratulations card, so today I bring you a spin card using the img# 352 SweetKawaii Christmas Bear X-mas Fred digital stamp

To do this I cut the pieces of the base and the inside of the card and folded them, both, in half. (The inside should be slightly shorter than the outside)

Then I applied the emboss resist technique to highlight the snowflakes on a background inked with Distress Ink color Worn Lipstick.

On the inside I punched a circle of sufficient size for the digi to turn smoothly and made two more folds a short distance from the edge of the circle, but at the same distance from both edges.

I printed and colored the digi in duplicate, with my alcohol markers.
Before starting to assemble the card, I stamped some red ink feelings on the white background of the base.

I finally glued all the pieces together. Between the two digi stamps I passed a white thread (better if it is transparent, but did not have it) and I pasted it in the central fold of the inside of my card with double-sided tape.

Finally I glued the two pieces of the card and made a cover with a piece of cardboard and a Christmas feeling.

As my digi stood out a bit, I added a shooter mode or card closure a feeling belonging to the digi img# 198 Magic Carpet Ride Spells Big Eye Unicorn on a Rainbow, and I started playing with it!! (It's really addictive! LOL)

I hope you like it and try to make these types of cards. If you have any work with the Oddball digits, share it in networks under the hashtag #creepycutechronicles so we can see it. And do not hesitate to use the discount code DTIRENE10 to get as many digits as you want for your projects (or paper collections... or rubber stamps... or... Well! Better enter the store and discover it yourself!!! LOL)

See you very soon with more inspiration!
