Every month, OddBall hosts a new blog challenge with a specific theme. This month it was all about Naughty Gnomes. For my project, I decided to create a fun, whimsical halloween decor. I had a coffin shaped shadow box , with a thin enough wood that I as able to pierce some hole in the back of it. I printed my main image #432 Little Whimsical Toadstool House #2 on vellum paper and colored it using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (making sure I colored the back of the image). I used the coffin to trace the shape on my vellum paper , cut the shape and then glued it to the front of my coffin shadow box. Added some sequins trim and fun halloween embellishments and my main design is done!
I love the #461 Cute Gnomes Rolling With My Gnomies digital stamp set! The cute faces and individual personalities , paired with a fun sentiment, makes for an extra adorable craft project. I wanted everything to be cohesive, and printed the gnomes on vellum paper and followed the same steps as the coffin shadow box, only this time using a small 5x5 embroidery hoop. Once both my projects were finished, i was able to add some pretty halloween lights to the back of the coffin and now i have a fun light up piece!
I had so much fun creating these pieces , and I hope it inspires you to create something today!
