Summer nights

This cheeky little fairy is using her wand to roast marshmallows..
....be careful that the smoke spites don’t t get in your hair!
Hi everyone! Happy Friday and all that!  This week at Oddballartstamps issue 116 our theme is long summer nights.  One of my favorite things to do is hang out around a fire, roast marshmallows and visit with friends.  What is your favorite part of summer?
This card is cram packed with images so let’s get started.  The premium images for this week include the fire, marshmallows and cute little smoke fellas.  The background (look closely) is Dots and doodles digital paper that I reduced the opacity on (made them lighter). Then I blended Tim Holtz distress ink (seedless preserves, salty ocean and peacock feathers) to create a night sky.  The moon fairy, Creepy Clair #64 and Delhia #70 were colored with Prisma colored pencils and Blackwidow skin tone pencils.  Last but not least the fairy jar is from this month’s premium digital images.
Do you think about your light source when you color?
I don’t always, but it can produce a dramatic effect at times.
In this situation you know the light came from the fire  ( arrows show direct of the light source )
So the side closest to the flame will be lighter.  I also added yellow as an undertone for her
skin to give the feeling of a warm glow.
